HUNGER FREE INDIA INITIATIVE

Statistics show that India has more people suffering from chronic hunger than any other country. Over 300 million of its citizens reportedly go to bed without food every night, representing over a third of the estimated one billion hungry people across the world. One-third of the world's malnourished children are in India. Chronic hunger kills 7,000 people a day in this country.

The Program

We in cities waste nearly 30% of the ready food and most of it ends up in the trash cans .Hunger Free India is an initiative taken by watscooking.com to fight poverty and hunger in india. By taking small steps like collecting excess foods out of parties and functions, thousands of poor and hungry children can be fed in a day.

Users can donate Rs 50 or equivalent while ordering in watscooking.com which can be used for food collection and delivery to the poor children
